Students grow up with us. Each stage builds on the last, on one American international programme alongside the Lebanese curriculum, with teachers who already know the family.
CHS follows the American curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 12, taught in English by subject teachers, with continuous assessment and report cards each term. Alongside it, students follow the Lebanese national curriculum, with Arabic as a core subject from Kindergarten and the national requirements met through to the end of secondary school. Graduates receive the American High School Diploma.
English is the language of instruction. Arabic is taught every year as a full subject, not an elective, so students leave CHS able to study, write and work in both. French is not offered.
Teachers assess continuously, through classwork, quizzes, projects and term exams. Parents see attendance, homework, quiz results and report cards in the CEMS Portal app and can message the teacher directly.
CHS is accredited by Cognia, recognised by Cambridge International, partners with the British Council, and offers College Board Advanced Placement courses in High School. Read about our accreditations.
Classes are small enough for teachers to know every child. Students who join with less English, or who need extra help in a subject, get a plan from the first week rather than being left to catch up on their own.
Send us your child's age and previous school, and admissions will tell you the right placement.
